It's no wonder this inn has so many excellent reviews. It's not posh, but it's the perfect friendly, comfortable place we were happy to return to after a day of enjoying St. Petersburg. Just three blocks from the center of town, it combines easy access to local attractions with a peaceful environment. Our room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was simple but generous, the innkeepers were endlessly helpful with directions and suggestions, and all of the staff was very friendly. We met many fellow guests who were returning patrons, and were delighted to have found the charming Inn on Third for ourselves!

I live in the area and treated myself to a staycay. On-site parking and the B & B experience attracted me to the Inn. From the moment I entered the front door, I felt as if I was back in my homeland of England. This is a warm and inviting place, and breakfast is such a treat. The evening socials are delightful. Rooms are comfy and well equipped.. A bonus for me was that the owner is a super-fan of my home football (soccer) team, Leeds United! The night manager, Ed, is a published author and interesting guy to chat with. Forget the large hotels, choose the Inn for a totally personal experience!

The location was perfect; close to downtown and night life. An easy walk to most everything including the pier. The woman at check in was somewhat grumpy when we arrived but next time we saw her (the next day) she was quite likable. I liked that the other guests were also "mature, older adults", not partying spring breakers! Parking was free and plentiful, close to highway and only about 25 minutes to TPA. Lots of restaurants and bars very close.

The Inn's location is perfect, not right in St. Pete with traffic and people noise, but so close that it takes only 5 or 10 minutes to stroll into downtown. Breakfast was ample for such a small space; cereal, yogurt, juice, pastries, bagels and bread for toasting, bananas and hot coffee. Enough to satisfy an appetite until lunch in town. I believe that wine is provided in the late afternoon but we were never there then to partake of that perk.

What a wonderful find. Stephanie and Brian were amazingly gracious and accommodating. I had a party of 10 people in five rooms, and my group was an eclectic band of characters. American Legion Post 390 Wellington, FL decided to spend a long weekend in St. Pete's; The Inn On Third was the cherry on top of our stay. From breakfast to the evening social, our group enjoyed themselves. We received recommendations on the "Loop" trolley, The Pier, The Dali Museum, The Library, Cider Press Vegan GastroPub, and the delicious Gratzzi Italian Grille. The best part of our trip was meeting return visitors who regaled us of stories of their past adventures. If ever traveling through St. Petersburg, this Inn is a must stay. I will be back. It is great for a group or as a couple. It is close to everything and because of the convenience of local transportation every whim can be satisfied.

The location was perfect for us! We walked out to the end of the pier and walked around town to select which of the two Italian restaurants the Inn's host recommended that we wanted to dine at after seeing a movie at the IMAX just down the street. We settled on Gratssi and were not at all disappointed. Breakfast at the Inn looked good but we had our hearts set on crepes at the Wooden Rooster, another short walk from The Inn. The queen bed in our room was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The bath is small but fully equipped with a combo tub/shower. The two staff people we met were very helpful and friendly. We'll definitely stay again if we travel up to St. Pete.

The hotel is in a great location. Within walking distance of downtown and the pier. The free parking was also nice. We didn't have to worry about other hotels nearby that charge $30 per day to park. The employees go out of their way to be friendly and make conversation. It was quaint too in that the front desk isn't manned 24/7 and the doors do lock at a certain point. When we arrived back at the hotel at night, it was quiet and reminded me of those nights as a kid when I would visit relatives. I also enjoyed the breakfast. Overall great value and I would return.

The location was excellent, we could walk to almost everywhere; to the pier, to all the fantastic museums, downtown and lots of really good restaurants, cafe. The rooms were on the small size but clean and very comfortable, has everything we need it. For breakfast there was a lot of delicious selection, I really loved how neat the display of the breakfast items were and everything was replenished constantly. And being a tealover I especially appreciated the selection of teas that was available all day long in the lobby along with good coffee and water.

Location. Walked to everything. Parking was easy. Breakfast was great. Museums very close. Happy hour was fun with hotel guests and Brian and Ed! Great conversation. Met people from all over the world and relaxed over breakfast and wine/bear. Will definitely come back.

The gentleman who was working the desk when we arrived was very friendly and helpful. We were coming from Pensacola, and our 7 hour drive turned into almost 9 due to torrential rain and traffic. We called to let the Inn know we might not make it quite by 9pm, and the gentleman was so kind and said he’d be there until at least 9:30 cleaning up and just to call again if it looked like we were going to be later than 9:30. Once we arrived he made me an ice bucket to bring upstairs, and was very nice and friendly.
